Copper Rain Chains

Originating in Japan over 100 years ago, rain chains provide a beautiful and functional watercourse for rain. Their original purpose was to serve as a rain gutter to guide rainwater into large basins for household and garden purposes. While they could still be used today to collect rain water, more often than not they are valued for their beauty and the serene sense cascading water can create.

Rain chains are not cups but linked funnels. Properly designed rain chains should be funnel shaped and have a bottom hole to allow the rain to properly flow.

We sell both funnel type and rain chain rings. We do not recommend the rings be used next to your home as replacement for your gutter but feel they lend themselves well to simple water features on sheds and other garden structures.
