Garden Arbors & Bowers

An arbour or bower is most commonly perceived as a shaded refuse usually made from lattice-like processed slats and overgrown with climbing plants. Superbly beautiful examples are to be found at Villandry, one of the French Loire castles where semicircular Arbours, based on the medieval model, surround the crossways of the garden.
