Curlex® NetFree is an excelsior erosion control blanket specifically designed to provide extended protection for grass seed and topsoil from wind and water erosion for 12 to 18 months, while simultaneously promoting ideal growing conditions on steep, long slopes and/or in channel applications. Curlex NetFree is not manufactured with a net but a biodegradable thread is used to stitch the fibers and hold them in place making this a 100% biodegradable product. Excelsior blankets do not contain any chemical additives, weed seed or foreign matter.

Curlex excelsior blankets have long passed the test of time. By design, Curlex blankets have a built-in swell factor - wet curled excelsior fibers expand in thickness and interlock to form a strong, fiber matrix. This allows the fibers to provide intimate contact with local terrain. Water flow is trained to follow the curled fiber matrix. The roughness of the curled excelsior matrix slows the velocity to a point where gravity takes over, which allows moisture to slowly seep into the topsoil to promote ideal growing conditions.
